Another Gem

Dear Mr. Beckwith,

Please come back to Protestant Christianity. None of our good works can contribute to our justification even if those good works are produced in us by the Holy Spirit. Moreover, good works coming from a sincere heart that loves Jesus cannot justify us in whole or in part.

What I like about this comment regarding Dr Beckwith is that it at least evinces a little understanding of the Catholic position on justification. Namely, that good works produced in us by the Holy Spirit can justify us. What is so incredibly sad, though, is that, to oppose Catholicism on this point, a Bible-loving evangelical is forced to deny Scripture itself, which states:

You see that a man is justified by works and not by faith alone.

Just remember. It’s Catholics who hate the Bible.
